SnapLogic has announced the availability of a new version of the SnapLogic open source data integration framework optimized to run on the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2).
Along with enabling enterprises to integrate data on both sides of the enterprise firewall
SnapLogic also makes it possible to create enterprise mashups and Rich Internet applications (RIAs).
Also, SnapLogic leverages Web technologies to enable enterprises to integrate data in the cloud with data behind the firewall.
Really Simple Integration, officials explained, enables enterprises to make data from databases, SaaS (

Chris Marino, CEO at SnapLogic, said that architecturally, SnapLogic is better suited to integrate SaaS data than competing data integration offerings.
He also pointed out that for enterprises seeking to integrate data and applications on both sides of the enterprise firewall, SnapLogic is the obvious choice.
Officials said that SnapLogic for Amazon EC2 provides Amazon Web Services (AWS) users with SnapLogic deployment, which eliminates the costs of acquiring and maintaining server hardware.
Moreover, SnapLogic for Amazon EC2 also enables integration of SaaS application data, such as SalesForce.com.
“Amazon Web Services provide reliable and elastic computing and storage resources, creating a cost-effective deployment alternative for data integration infrastructures that have been architected with the Web in mind,” said Steve Rabuchin, director for developer relations and business development at Amazon Web Services.
He also said that SnapLogic for EC2 users will be supported by the same technology infrastructure that Amazon.com (
