Green Rack Launches New "Green" Data Center Equipment Line

To help data centers be more environmentally friendly, Green Rack Systems has announced a new “green” data center equipment line that combines traditional eco-friendly innovations with the latest developments in IT technology.

According to company sources, the new equipment line is designed to help companies maximize the potential cost savings in the data center and reduce their environmental impact at the same time.
Pointing out that a vast amount of energy was required to power a full-scale computer data center, Green Rack Systems officials warned that even small, in-house computer server and data systems did not score high on the power efficiency scale.
As companies globally recognize the need for energy efficient systems, there is an increased demand for green solutions. Company sources said with its new low-power line of data center equipment, Green Rack Systems is now able to design, install, and maintain energy efficient data centers that consume just a tiny fraction of the resources previously required for full-scale IT rollouts.
“Our goal is changing the way data centers are built and operated, finally creating a 100 percent green solution for our customers," explained Mt. Gard, technical director of Green Rack Systems.
Officials said that Green Rack Systems helps customers save money by using the cutting-edge low-power line of data center equipment including low-wattage multi-core CPUs, low-voltage memory, low-power hard drives, and ultra-low consumption power supplies.
Further, as a business-to-business service provider, Green Rack Systems delivers a 100 percent green solution. Gard explained that his company employed both traditional green technology, such as recycled steel and plastic, and used low-power components, high-efficiency power supplies, up to and including co-location in a solar-powered data center. This in turn helps companies to meet their conservation goals while fulfilling their customers’ expectations of being a green company.
San Jose, California-based Green Rack Systems specializes in large-scale data center deployments using eco-friendly green technology. The company has developed a complete program to maximize the potential cost savings in the data center.
